How We Engage
Inversion acts as a continuous operating resource across operations, corporate governance, hiring, and strategic narrative. We believe aligned incentives produce the best outcomes, so we take an ownership stake in every company we support. Our advisory work has two distinct and complementary components:
Executive Ops and CEO Coaching
This is founder-level support focused on judgment, clarity, and reliability under pressure—grounded in firsthand experience.
Tactical decision making. Framing problems, prioritizing, and what to do next when information is incomplete. Avoiding common pitfalls.
Accountability and reliability. Establishing personal operating discipline and follow-through at the executive level and down the organization.
Handling tough situations. Managing conflict, underperformance, investor pressure, and high-stakes conversations.
Overwhelm and clear thinking under stress. Reducing noise, restoring perspective, and maintaining decision quality during intense periods.
Company Operations
This is operational support focused on execution, systems, and leverage—particularly helpful for technical or first-time founders, as needed.
Raising money. Fundraising basics, timing, and positioning. Running a tight process. Angels vs. VCs. Terms and negotiation.
Hiring. Role definition, recruitment, team structure, offboarding, and incentive design.
Governance and board. Investor relations, legal, board composition and management.
Hard skills. Concrete methods, tools, and playbooks used by top-tier operators. Operating rhythms, processes, planning, comms, and function-level frameworks.
Engagement Structure
The engagement structure is 2x 75-minute meetings each month, plus Slack, text, and email async availability. These are 1:1 sessions for you, your cofounder, or an executive on your team.
- Each session covers tactical goals and issues.
- Each session results in tactical next steps for key problems.
